LiteTouch Remote Access Now Available for Download at iTunes Store
New App Allows Homeowners to Control Their LiteTouch Lighting Control System with any iPhone, iPad or iTouch device from Anywhere in the World.
Salt Lake City, UT, January 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Today LiteTouch, a leading manufacturer of lighting control systems, announced the release of their new mobile app for control of enabled LiteTouch 5000LC and FIVEk lighting control systems.
The app is available as a free download at the iTunes store, with a demo feature showing how the app works. In order to provide total control of lighting and other home systems integrated with a LiteTouch system, LiteTouch Remote Access requires setup by an Authorized LiteTouch Partner.
LiteTouch Remote Access delivers communication over Wi-Fi, Edge or 3G Networks, meaning that the user can be in their home with their phone controlling the lights, or anywhere else they can get a phone or Wi-Fi signal such as office, airport or vacation.
Said LiteTouch VP Sales & Marketing Angie Larson, “The ability to be at your office across town or your hotel across the country and to monitor and control your home’s lights and other systems using your phone is a tremendous convenience.”
The app offers LiteTouch homeowners the following key features and functionality:
Activate lighting and other integrated systems from within the home or anywhere in the world.
Monitor current energy use levels.
Check system status in real-time to see what lights are on.
Ease of use via on-screen display of keypad layouts as they appear on the walls of the home.
Navigate and control lights by area or room location.
Create a customized “Favorites” list of the lights most frequently monitored or controlled.
Two levels of user access so children or staff can be locked out of critical functions.
Larson reports that the “Save Energy” and “Keypad View” features of the app are particularly engaging to users. “Homeowners can monitor their energy use in real-time using the app, and turn off or dim lights instantly to lower consumption, then see the results instantly. Also in ‘Keypad View,’ the app shows all the LiteTouch keypads in the home just as they appear on the walls, with the exact same button configurations and button engravings as the real keypads, which makes it much easier for consumers to relate the app to their physical home system.”
Remote Access is offered by LiteTouch Dealers worldwide who can be located online at LiteTouch.com
