No Children by Choice Launches New Website
No Children by Choice, an online community for those without children, will focus on the pursuit of a life of quality with no regrets and no apologies.
Manassas, VA, January 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- No Children by Choice today announced the launch of their new lifestyle website for couples without children pursuing a life of quality.
"Our goal is to celebrate the unconventional life choice of remaining child-free and to explore the resulting freedoms, difficulties, joys and challenges of that choice," said Lauren Mitchell-Ruehring, No Children by Choice's Editor in Chief.
Asked about the tone the new community site would take, Mitchell Ruehring explained, "This is not a site about 'us' versus 'them' - this site does not engage in negativity or denigration of the 'traditional' family unit - in fact, most of the people we hold dear have children, and they and their children are a big part of our life - but instead, through this site we strive to build upon the components of traditional families and then illustrate how the conscious choice to remain child-free can create a life of quality."
The launch of this new interactive community site is viewed by the No Children by Choice team as a watershed moment in American culture when many different types of family choices are becoming more commonplace.
Says Mitchell-Ruehring, "We have found in the past that resources intended for people researching quality of life issues (vacation planning, financial planning, estate planning, home planning, etc) assume that children will be involved: Child-friendly resorts, inheritance plans to provide for children, even home floor plans with 5 bedrooms and a 'kid’s area' in the finished basement. After many years of meeting other couples all over the country who have made the choice to remain child-free and finding they faced the same challenges we faced, we decided it was up to us to create a comprehensive resource for a type of family that is growing in numbers: A Family of Two."
With this in mind, No Children by Choice intends to provide readers and members with value in the quality information and variety of topics found on their site.
"Our blogs will always be honest and from the heart, and we encourage our members to make comments... challenge us, concur with us, ignite a feedback firestorm" says Mitchell-Ruehring.
"We also have a forum for members to create topics for open discussion among users, as well as external news feeds and weblinks to articles of interest.
