CSIA Announces 2011 Board of Directors
CSIA, Colorado’s Technology Association, announces their 2011 Board of Directors.
Denver, CO, January 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- CSIA, Colorado’s Technology Association, today announced the 2011 members of their Board of Directors.
Nancy Phillips, Co-Founder, COO and Director, ViaWest, was named the Chair of the Board of Directors for 2011. Nancy has served on the Board since 2006, including on the Finance Committee from 2007 through 2010. Headquartered in Denver, ViaWest maintains 19 enterprise-class data centers in Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Texas and Nevada.
“It is a tremendous honor to be part of this extraordinary organization and the great work it does in educating and promoting the value of Colorado’s technology industry,” explained Nancy Phillips, Co-Founder, COO and Director, ViaWest and 2011 Board Chair. “Our focus in 2011 will remain centered on highlighting the strength and impact of our membership and the technology industry has in creating growth and prosperity for our state.”
Phillips takes over from Annette Quintana, CEO, Istonish, who served as the 2010 Board Chair. Quintana now will serve as the Immediate Past Chair and Chair of the Nominating Committee for 2011.
“2010 was a great year for CSIA, and as the Board Chair, I’m pleased with our advocacy work on behalf of our entire industry, especially with the difficult tax policy we encountered,” explained Annette Quintana, CEO, Istonish and 2010 CSIA Board Chair. “We’ll continue this great legislative work and also continue to provide an ecosystem for tech companies, and the users of technology to unite, share ideas, and network.”
Steve Foster, President, Business Controls was elected as the 2011 Chair Elect and will serve as the Board Chair in 2012. Darin Kreimeyer, Partner, Ernst & Young, was elected for another year as the Board Treasurer, as well as Keith Berets, Partner, Cooley, who was elected again for Board Secretary. These three along with Phillips and Quintana will serve as the 2011 Board Officers.
“We are so honored and proud to have the leadership of Nancy, Annette, Steve and the entire Board,” said Su Hawk, president, CSIA. “Each person contributes a great deal to the technology ecosystem in our state, and having their acumen and involvement provides a significant opportunity for our organization and the work we do for the technology industry,” she added.
Seven additional Board Members were also unanimously elected to additional two-year terms beginning in 2011. Those member include: Dayle Ash, General Business Executive-Colorado, IBM; Pete Dignan, Executive Director, CORE; Carl Fitch, CEO, Statera; Adam Haynes, Partner, St. Charles Capital; Michael Locatis, CIO, United States Department of Energy; Jon Nordmark, Founder, President, Wambo; and Kirby Slunaker, CIO, Pendum.
Bill Mueldener, National Tax Partner, Hein & Associates was newly appointed to the Board of Directors for 2011. Mueldener, a long-time member of the Public Policy Committee, has been instrumental in the 2010 legislative work with HB1192 and the DOR interpretations.
