Parallel Project Training Team Recognised by APM as Registered Project Professional (RPP) Assessor

Reading, United Kingdom, January 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Parallel Project Training, a specialist training provider in APM project management training, today announced that two of its consultants John Bolton, Programme Development Director and Lara Taylorson, associate consultant, are some of the first project management professionals to be qualified as an assessor for the new APM Registered Project Professional (RPP) standard.

The APM RPP standard will be officially launched in 2011 and will begin accepting applications from March. It aims to raise the standard of professional project management by acknowledging that all professionals across project, programme and portfolio management have reached a recognised standard in their profession.

The standard is based around the APM Competence Framework and is aimed at experienced project managers looking to develop their career though gaining this level of professional standard. Parallel Project Training will offer a range of interventions tailored to the new standard, ensuring students can demonstrate the capabilities of a responsible leader, have the ability to manage a complex project and use appropriate project management tools, processes and techniques.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate the following attributes having achieved the RPP standard:

● A breadth of knowledge of project management as defined in the APM Body of Knowledge
● Demonstration of having managed complex projects successfully
● A commitment to continuing professional development
● Demonstration of leadership and adherence to professional and ethical behaviour
