New York, NY, January 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Knowledge Group/The Knowledge Congress Live Webcast Series, the leading producer of regulatory focused webcasts, announced today that it has scheduled a live webcast entitled Fair Value Measurements and Disclosures (Topic 820) Explored. This two-hour event is scheduled on February 25, 2011 at 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET.

Event Synopsis:

Fair Value has been a topic of considerable interest over the last couple of years. Its latest incarnation now named Topic 820 is aimed at fixing some issues related with previous versions. Still, the transparency linked to these measurements through increased disclosure remains an ongoing challenge for preparers to comply with and for users to rapidly understand. Finance, compliance, accounting and valuation professionals must completely understand the key considerations regarding evaluation of an asset's market value and abidance with the rules.

This Knowledge Group webcast aims to provide insights and to help understand the essentials to consider in fair value measurement, as well as the major amendments to the rules.
