WizFolio ‘Version Avatara’ Unveiled
WizFolio, an online research collaboration tool launched ‘Version Avatara’ last Friday, 7th January 2011. This latest version of WizFolio includes new collaborative tools and features that will improve post publication visibility.

Publicising research work. A publicly accessible profile page is automatically generated based on a user’s research interests, publications and lists of publicly shared collection of references. A change to the ‘My Publications’ folder in a user’s WizFolio account is automatically and immediately reflected on the profile page. The profile page is designed for minimal effort in maintenance.
Sharing and collaborating. WizFolio users can now share a collection of compiled references from their WizFolio account with the public on their Profile page. Other users can subscribe to a user’s publications or publicly shared collections. By sharing a list of their publications and compiled references on specific topics, users can improve their reputation as an expert in their chosen field. This creates an internet presence, thereby increasing the chances of users’ publications being noticed and cited.
Fast and convenient search. The new public WizFolio Search page is fast and convenient. It is optimised to search for scholarly publications, returning results from numerous databases such as WizFolio's Publicly Shared Collections, Pubmed, Scholars Portal (20+ million journal articles), CiteUlike or Google Scholar. Convenient features include a one-click save to users’ WizFolio account and a one-click linkage to locate PDFs.
Citing conveniently in many styles. Exporting a list of references from supported websites is quick and easy. The new bibliographic exporter will generate and export bibliography in BibTeX or in any one of the major citation styles. Supported websites include WizFolio Public Pages, major publisher’s webpages and scholarly databases.
