Tournaments Approved by Delaware Lottery for Dover Downs Hotel & Casino
Dover, DE, January 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Delaware Lottery recently approved three additional tournaments at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino: the Delaware Poker Championship, Spring Poker Classic and Crown Royal Poker Room Tournament.
The inaugural Delaware Poker Championship will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10. Qualifying tournaments are now held daily for a $71 buy-in for 1,500 chips to win a seat to the Championship. On Sept. 9, single table satellites will be held 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with buy-ins of $71 for 1,500 chips. One seat will be awarded for each table. Super Satellite Events begin at 8 p.m. with a buy-in of $51 for a 6,000 starting stack at 20-minute levels. One person in ten will be awarded a seat to the Delaware Poker Championship final event on Saturday, Sept. 10. Early registration is now available. Anyone 21 or older may participate in the tournament with either a previously won seat or a buy-in of $560 for 10,000 chips.
The Spring Poker Classic main event will be held on Saturday, March 26, beginning at noon for a buy-in of $550 for 12,000 chips. From Friday, March 18 to Thursday, March 24, a variety of daily games will include No Limit Hold’ Em, Seniors Hold’ Em, Ladies Hold ‘Em, Limit Omaha 8+ and Pot Limit Omaha. Times vary on qualifying days and buy-ins range from of $90 - $275 for 5,000 to 10,000 chips. Games during this time period are not tied to the main event.
Single table satellite tournaments for the Spring Poker Classic will be held on March 25 at 9 a.m., noon, 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., with a buy-in of $70 for 1,500 chips. During those times, ten players interested in playing for access to the main event will be accommodated with a table with the satellite winner to receive $550 for entrance into the main event. The Spring Poker Classic main event on Saturday, March 26, will begin at noon with a buy-in of $550 for 12,000 chips, at 30 minute levels.
Crown Royal Poker Room Friday Tournaments continue on Jan. 21 with a guaranteed $5,000 prize pool. The buy-in of $125 trades for 5,000 chips. Friday Tournaments begin at 7 p.m. The $5,000 payout is based on a minimum of 50 player entries.
