Helios HR Opens Nominations for 5th Annual Apollo Awards
Premier Human Resources Awards Program Honors Washington D.C. Leaders in Employee Onboarding, Mentoring and Community Involvement Programs
Reston, VA, January 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Helios HR, a provider of outsourced human resources (HR) services that optimize workforce and HR operations, today announced the call for nominations for the 2011 Helios HR Apollo Awards. In its fifth year, the Apollo Awards is the premier awards program for recognizing employers in the Washington metropolitan area that are driving innovation and impact in employee development initiatives.
“Companies big and small are recognizing the importance of employee development in shaping future leaders, maintaining a competitive advantage, and fostering a talented and enthusiastic workforce. As we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Apollo Awards, we are confident that this year’s nominations will be the strongest yet,” said Kathy Albarado, president and CEO, Helios HR.
“This year our judges will be watching out for the impact that HR programs have had on employees and the organization as a whole.”
After years of witnessing local businesses proactively promote professional development and employee growth, Helios HR created the Apollo Awards in 2007 to celebrate innovative and passionate leaders. The Awards program highlights unique initiatives that will have an influence on HR practices across industries.
The Apollo Awards are offered in four categories based on organization size: emerging, small, mid-size and large. Nominees will be evaluated by an independent panel of recognized workforce development and HR authorities based on their support of employee development programs and ability to communicate the overall impact of these programs.
Finalists will be recognized and honored at a private VIP reception in May. Winners will be announced at the annual breakfast awards ceremony at the McLean Hilton on June 1, 2011.
For more information on the awards, including submission guidelines, the nomination form and sponsorship opportunities, please visit HeliosHR.com. Award nominations will be accepted through February 18, 2011.
