Scholarships Available for Greater Dayton Sorority Women

Dayton Alumnae Panhellenic Assoication announces the availability of its 2011 scholarship application. Sorority members - undergraduate or graduate students - with permanent home addresses in the Ohio counties of Montgomery, Greene, Warren, Miami, Preble, Clark, Shelby, and Darke are encouraged to apply.

Dayton, OH, January 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Dayton Alumnae Panhellenic Association (DAPA) announces the availability of its 2011 scholarship application. Sorority members with permanent home addresses in the Ohio counties of Montgomery, Greene, Warren, Miami, Preble, Clark, Shelby, and Darke are encouraged to apply.

The scholarship application deadline is Feb. 1, 2011. The scholarship application is available online: http://daytonalumnaepanhellenic.webs.com/scholarship2.htm.

Scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate or graduate students who are members of collegiate or alumnae chapters of any sorority or women’s fraternity affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).

Applicants will be notified of the DAPA scholarship committee’s decision in mid-March 2011. Recipients will be recognized publicly at DAPA’s annual Silent Auction and Fashion Show fundraiser, which is scheduled for April 16, 2011, at the Hope Hotel & Conference Center. Over the past decade, DAPA has provided scholarships totaling more than $88,000. Typically, the group awards eight to 10 scholarships annually with an approximate value of $600 per award.
