Oprah Fans Rejoice Over Release of Long Lost Complete Miniseries "Women of Brewster Place" Coming to DVD February 8th

Santa Monica, CA, January 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Xenon Pictures is proud to announce the release of the highly sought after complete version of the Oprah Winfrey miniseries “Women of Brewster Place.” This deluxe beautifully-mastered version of the beloved miniseries features the long lost scenes from the original broadcast version that fans have been requesting for years. The DVD arrives in stores on February 8th.

With a critically acclaimed dramatic performance by Oprah Winfrey, “Women of Brewster Place” tells the story of a group of strong-willed women who live in the same rundown housing project and struggle against racism, poverty and troublesome men through three decades. The film co-stars Cicely Tyson, Robin Givens, Lynn Whitfield, Larenz Tate, Jackee and Leon.

Adapted from the award-winning novel by Gloria Naylor, “Women of Brewster Place” was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards including Outstanding Miniseries and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries (Paula Kelly). This never-released version includes an extra 32 minutes of footage.
