Southfield, MI, January 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Visiting Physicians Association® (VPA®, www.visitingphysicians.com) announced the addition of Anthony Harris, M.D. and Ryan Richardson, PA-C to its practice at 21540 W. 11 mile Road, Suite 200, in Southfield, MI. VPA’s Southfield Office serves patients in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.

They are staffed by more than 150 highly-qualified physicians across 31 locations in nine states available to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of seniors. Returning to VPA after a brief break, Harris comes to VPA from Mobile Doctors in Southfield, MI and Care Plus MC in Livonia, MI. In his position with Mobile Doctors, Harris provided care to homebound, elderly patients.
Harris earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI where he graduated with Honors in Neurology. He completed his Internal Medicine Residencies at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, MI and Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI. Harris also has a Masters Degree in Science with a focus on Neurophysiology from Wayne State University. He is licensed in the state of MI and is certified in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Prior to joining VPA, Richardson was employed with Dr. Safadi and Associates in Toledo, OH, where he evaluated patients and made therapeutic changes to their treatment plans. He also held a position at The Toledo Clinic, in Toledo, OH, where he assisted in the management of critically ill patients, including ventilator management and effectively diagnosing and treating patients with pulmonary disorders.
Richardson received his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, with an emphasis in asthma, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. He is currently licensed in Michigan and Ohio and is certified in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
