Richmond’s Sweet Adelines Plan Sweet Valentine Surprises
The Greater Richmond Chorus Plans to Delight Hearts with Singing Valentines and Help the American Heart Association.
Richmond, VA, January 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- For the sixth year in a row, quartets from the award-winning, Greater Richmond Chorus (a member of Sweet Adelines International) will be bringing sweet surprises to many lucky Valentines in the Richmond area. On February 12th, 13th and 14th, (Saturday, Sunday and Monday), Valentine quartets from the Greater Richmond Chorus (GRC) will be delivering Singing Valentines.
And just what is a Singing Valentine?
It’s a surprise visit from four lovely ladies, dressed in red, bearing a card with personalized greetings along with custom-designed, gourmet chocolates from specialty chocolatier: Chocolate Cravings. They also offer an optional flower bouquet of daisies and Peruvian Lilies from Flowerama. The quartet will serenade many lucky Valentines with two beautiful Heart Songs in 4-part, a cappella harmony.
Who are all these lucky recipients? They are sweethearts, parents, teachers, spouses, family members and friends. They could be 8 or 108. They might be at home, at work, at school, dining out at a restaurant, or living in an assisted living community. GRC quartets have serenaded school bus drivers along their morning route and teachers in their classrooms. They have surprised sweethearts getting engaged and couples celebrating their 50th wedding anniversaries.
And for the first time, the chorus is proud to celebrate “Heart Month” by partnering with the American Heart Association’s “Go RED For Women” campaign. GRC will donate 10% from each Valentine purchased to further the Heart Association’s mission of “healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. “
For those Valentines who will not be in the area on the 14th, GRC also delivers Valentine Phone-a-Grams. The quartets will phone anyone, anywhere in the continental U.S., deliver special greetings and sing two love songs.
In addition, each purchase will help two local charities (The Greater Richmond Chorus and the American Heart Association, Mid-Atlantic Affiliate) and two local businesses (Chocolate Cravings and Flowerama).
They will accept orders by phone (804-282-7464), email (Valentines@GRCSings.com) or online: www.grcsings.com (click on "Singing Valentines"). Personally delivered Singing Valentines are only $40. For just 10 more, they will add a beautiful flower bouquet of daisies and Peruvian Lilies from Flowerama. Valentine Phone-a-Grams are just $10.
Their goal is to raise $400 for the American Heart Association with their beautiful “Songs-From-the-Heart” on Valentine’s Day.
