SafeBox.mobi Enters Into The Top 100 .Mobi Websites in the World
Dublin, Ireland, January 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Mobile privacy specialist SafeBox.mobi announced that its innovative mobile application for Blackberry, Symbian and Java phones that has already attracted over half a million users concerned about the privacy of their text messages, has entered into the Top 100 .mobi websites in the world.

With the ever growing popularity of the mobile phone and millions of SMS being sent every day, the risks of intrusions into our daily SMS exchanges, either private or professional, are following the same growing trend.

Love messages, financial details, passwords, access codes, little secrets told in confidence... the examples of sensitive messages are many and they are all openly available for our privacy to be breached by a jealous spouse, a nosy friend, or a curious colleague. And if a mobile phone is lost or stolen, this risk is increasing even more as the text messages and contacts are then left completely unprotected for anyone to see.

"The violation of privacy on the mobile is as simple as someone taking your phone and having a look at your contacts or reading your SMS, without you knowing about it," says Philippe Joly, CEO of SafeBox Ltd.

SafeBox is a private SMS mobile application that allows its users to easily send and receive SMS within a private circle of contacts. The entire content of the SafeBox is stored in a PIN-protected space of the phone, and is inaccessible to prying eyes without knowledge of the PIN.

"We developed SafeBox to address a growing need for mobile privacy and allow everyone to communicate by SMS privately. We supported the .mobi initiative from the very start and we are delighted to see that this choice is paying back. " continues Joly.

The company started in April 2010 with the Java and Symbian platforms to cover the widest range of devices worldwide. It then added Blackberry in September and has announced that it will soon launch an Android version.

"SafeBox is not designed just for enterprises or professionals but also and mainly for the consumers markets. Our goal is to target all mobile users. this goes from low-end phones to smart phones but also from emerging markets to more mature markets," explains Joly.

SafeBox mirrors the standard SMS behaviour of the phones which makes it intuitive and simple to use for everyone and doesn’t require any technical knowledge. The application is available in multiple languages and is distributed by Mobile operators, Content providers and App stores all over the world.
