A Journey Down The Well Releases Music Video for “New Abondened Places On Earth”
Fluttery Records artist A Journey Down The Well releases a new music video.
New York, NY, January 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- New Abondened Places on Earth, the dark piece by A Journey Down The Well has a music video. Post-rock, Modern Classical, Experimental music trio released their second album “Sorry Monsters Monsters, I Have To Grow” a while ago on Fluttery Records (flutteryrecords.com).
The album was a seven song collection of their latest works. Anna Erneman of the band said “We are inspired by many elements. The chilly sound of post-punk, eye openers like A Silver Mt. Zion and Godspeed You Black Emperor; Brian Eno and many others... But in this album our sound, with hints of contemporary classical composers like Arvo Part, Richard Einhorn and Henryk Gorecki, is dominant.”
The last song on the album, New Abondened Places on Earth is one of their most touching piece. Sic Magazine has called the track “A percussion-heavy epic instrumental”. On the album review of Postrock Community music blog, the track has mentioned with these sentences. “Classical instruments fancy with the post rock or experimental genre, while the vocals sprout moanfully and dolorously again. The last, a good ten and a half minutes long song however, seems particularly mentionable. Anna Erneman, Martin Bjelfvenstam and Taner Torun experiment with ambient sounds and LoFi-drums while the string bowed instruments, in their frightening style, lay ontop. The perfect way to end a sophomore album, that positively screams: Sorry Monsters, we Have grown.”
The scenes in the video is a footage collection which documents B-24 missions over Europe during World War II between the years 1942 – 1945, issued by National Archives and Records Administration and made public. Numerous scenes showing bombing, bomb damage, and fires show the damages on the human race caused by wars.
The video which resembles a short movie (10 minutes and 44 seconds) can be watched on viral video networks like Vimeo, Youtube, Dailymotion, Blip. Also the video is a free download.
