Independent Musicians and Bands - Sell Your CD or Record on RoadNoise
East Lansing, MI, September 10, 2005 --(PR.com)-- RoadNoise CD & Vinyl Sales Program. RoadNoise is an excellent way to promote your music by streaming audio, booking shows, and now by selling your CDs and records.
Here's how it works:
For each new CD or record, you initially send us 6 copies, one of which we will use to scan cover art, digitize the audio for 45 second MP3 samples, and present to our staff for possible review. The remaining 5 will be available for sale on our website. Within a week or so of our receipt of the recording, you will be notified that your recording page - each release gets its own page - is ready for you to fill in the details.
No one will be turned down. If you want to sell your CD
You must have an Artist Membership to be participate in the program. Any artist membership is eligible, including the free single artist membership. Multiple artist memberships - excellent for labels, agents, etc. - are available for a low monthly fee.
From your Artist management page, you'll be able to edit the information about your recording, and you set the price. Each time a CD sells, you will be notified, and your RoadNoise account will be credited. For each CD you sell we keep 40% of the sale price before shipping (or $2 if your CD is $5 or less), and we cap our share of the sale at $5 - so even if you are selling a gatefold numbered limited edition signed individually silkscreened triple CD boxset for $75, we will keep just $5 of the proceeds of that sale.
There are no setup fees for this program, however, as noted above, you do need an Artist Membership. Free memberships are available.
We will pay you whenever your account hits $10, or a greater amount if you choose. You may also use your RoadNoise account to buy CDs from other RoadNoise members. There is no minimum sales limit or time limit. If you sell only one disc per decade, that's fine with us, as long as you wish to keep working with us.
Once the initial 5 discs sell, we will request an additional shipment of 10 discs. Each subsequent shipment will be twice the amount of the previous shipment. We will email you automatically when you are down to 1 remaining disc, and again when the disc is sold out. If you choose not to send another shipment, just let us know. You are not obligated in any way to keep selling with us if you choose not to.
We will pack and ship the order within 2 business days of the sale, and will include any of your inserts - flyers, postcards, stickers, etc - if you choose to include them.
This program is not limited to CDs. Eligible recorded formats include:
CD
DVD
Vinyl - 7", 10", 12", etc.
