Tip Off NYE 2011 at the Top of the Palms Raises Record Amount for Charity Event and Online Drive Raised $45,000 for Child Focus, Inc. and Program Camp to Belong-NV
Hundreds from across the country partied for a greater purpose New Year’s Eve 2011 at the top of luxury in the Palms Casino Resort Hardwood Fantasy Suite, the only event in Las Vegas dedicated to raise money for a local charity. The inaugural event raised $45,000 for Child Focus NV and their program Camp to Belong-NV. The event was hosted by entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mark Curry. “Tip Off NYE 2011” was a huge success.
Las Vegas, NV, January 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Child Focus, Inc. and their program Camp to Belong NV directly benefited from the proceeds of the event. Tip Off New Year’s Eve 2011 raised a record amount, providing for a positive impact on the organization’s ability to provide counseling, resources, and support to those most in need of being reconnected as families. Each summer, Camp to Belong brings siblings together for a magical and emotional week of reunions, reconnecting, support and counseling.
The charity’s primary benefactor and event host, Mark Curry - entrepreneur, philanthropist, Vegas local and business owner said, “It always amazes me how people can come together to help those that are less fortunate, and to bring families together in the face of challenge is awesome. This event truly shows how committed our friends and associates are from Las Vegas to Washington, D.C. We hope to continue the momentum next year.”
"In one magical evening, Mark Curry, with the help of incredibly generous sponsors and party-goers, raised enough money to pay for the campsite and all the food for over one hundred and fifty separated siblings in foster care and the adult volunteer camp counselors," said Ellen Lloyd, Child Focus Executive Director. "Now we can afford to add programming at camp which helps these youth build better self awareness and skills for independent adulthood."
Event Producer and Manager, Lisa Meller, CMP and Vice President of Papillon Entertainment Group says “With great thanks to Mark for the opportunity, I’m honored that our team was so integrally involved in an event of such magnitude and meaning. Because we believe in events & entertainment that have positive social impact, it was a pleasure to help this idea take flight. We look forward to NYE 2012!”
The event and its success could not have been possible without the tremendous support of sponsors and donors from across the country who donated not only financially, but also their products and services.Over 45 donor companies and ticket purchasing attendees made contributions.
