Apple Approves Newquay Guide’s iPhone App.
Newquayguide.co.uk continues to improve its service to both users and advertisers in promoting Newquay as a great holiday destination.
The Newquay Guide iPhone App is now available direct from Apple’s on-line iTunes store. The Guide's iPhone App. allows users of the popular iPhone to not only receive alerts the moment a Special Offer is published on the web site. It enables users to browse through a constantly updated list of Newquay events as well as the accommodation listed in the Guide.
Gordon Burns of Silverquick Ltd who started publishing the Guide in 1997 in partnership with Restormel Tourism said:
“We are effectively putting the most vital information live instantly into the palm of a user’s hand. Within moments of publishing a special offer or amending their entry on the web site every iPhone in the world with the App is updated. For the user and advertiser the communication could not be simpler. It is a One Tap system. On tap on the iPhone and the user is dialling the advertiser, One tap and they are either sending an email or visiting the advertisers web site.
“Almost 50 users a week are downloading and installing the Newquay Guide App from Apple’s iTunes store and we have users in the UK, Germany, Canada, USA and Australia.”

The reaction to the iPhone App has been so good that Silverquick is already working on version 2 of the App to include more videos, Maps, and information.
