Lanner Group Partners Cedar HR for Law Enforcement Process Improvement Seminar
Simulation and Process Solutions Specialist and Software Services Provider to Host Seminar "How Police Can Do More with Less to Deliver Cuts without Compromise." London Novotel, St Pancras Hotel, London - January 27th 2011.
Houston, TX, January 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Lanner Group, the leading simulation specialist and business process improvement company, and Cedar HR, a provider of software and services to UK law enforcement agencies, today announced details of a forthcoming seminar taking place in London, UK January 27, 2011.
The seminar will focus on helping law enforcement agencies to better manage resources, improve performance and reduce costs.
Chaired by the former Chief Constable of Derbyshire Police, David Coleman, the event aims to investigate and evaluate the current issues impacting the management of police resources and improvement of performance, and to provide a forum where experiences and successes can be shared.
A number of informal presentations will take place at the event, including one from City of London Police on the approaches it has taken to better measure and improve performance. This, along with other sessions, will look at how simulation and modeling has helped Forces in order to share best practice and lessons learned.
“As the full impact of the UK's Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR) takes shape, there is a significant benefit in sharing the experiences and successes of other forces,” comments Kevin Sheehy, head of police practice at Lanner Group. “Many forces have used simulation to make substantial savings and improvements, through de-duplicating and removing unnecessary processes. Through educating on successful approaches and providing relevant expertise, delivering cuts without compromising performance is a reality.”
“Shift patterns, training and overtime are key areas where improvements can be made to unlock efficiencies,” comments Charles Gunn, head of account management, Cedar HR. “Through tightening and streamlining the processes involved in these areas, police forces can deliver the necessary cuts without undue impact on front line services. This event aims to equip those responsible for delivering the CSR cuts with the knowledge to implement strategies which will achieve their objectives.”
