The aim of Green Apple Delivery is to offer a personalized delivery service using environmentally-friendly transportation – the bicycle. This type of personalized service takes much more time and hard work, but owner Michael Schetyna believes that this kind of dedication to being completely pollution free will truly make a difference.
Michael founded Green Apple after watching the Gulf oil spill on television. “I believe the only effective way to deal with oil spills and other environmental concerns is to eliminate our dependence on petroleum and to create a petroleum-free world. We understand that not everybody can bike for their groceries, or has the equipment to do so - that's where Green Apple Delivery comes in. We do your shopping for you, with the ability to go to multiple stores, and deliver your groceries right to your doorstep.”
You simply pay the cost of the items, plus a modest delivery charge and shopping fee (a small percentage of your final store bill). Orders can be placed via phone or e-mail by 9pm one day prior to the delivery day. Green Apple is happy to shop for items besides groceries (excluding alcohol and tobacco products), making it a one-stop delivery service to help you save time.
Initially, Green Apple will serve the popular and eco-conscious Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver, with plans to expand to other areas.
