London, United Kingdom, January 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- iSMEStorage, the multi cloud File Manager, has been updated to version 2.06 in the Apple App Store. iSMEStorage is a File Manager which supports over 15 different file Clouds as well as local iPhone and iPad file data. iSMEStorage continues the theme of adding clouds and implementing most user requested features.
Users can upload files directly to the iPad / iPhone via a web interface as well as from standard FTP clients over WiFi. New folders can be created on the iOS device and files can be cut and pasted to different locations locally. Local files can also be uploaded to any of over 15 possible clouds, and local files can be shared, via the native iPad / iPhone built in email client, as attachments. Users can also open files within other Apps, that implement document sharing, within iSMEStorage as well as opening files from iSMEStorage directly into other supported applications. Local files can also be unzipped and local folder structures can be zipped.
Users can access files on many storage clouds (including the Azure Cloud in this release) and view these files simultaneously in an aggregated 'virtualised' cloud file system. Files can downloaded and viewed, and folders from different Cloud File Providers can be synchronised directly to the iOS device. If more than one file cloud is used, users can also copy and paste files between different clouds directly in the app.
File sharing is strongly featured, with files being able to be shared using file links created in the native iOS email client, creating file links with expiry times, creating a unique URL for use in other apps, or sharing a file link publicly using Twitter.
Users can also create voice and text notes that can be synchronised with any of the 15 clouds supported, or emailed as attachments with the native email iOS email client.
Any user who has purchased iSMEStorage can send SMEStorage support an email with a screenshot of their user login name to have ClouDav enabled. ClouDav adds a WebDav layer over any SMEStorage supported Cloud. This means you can, for example, edit and save your files on SkyDrive, Google Docs, DropBox etc from iWork or Office2 HD without even launching the iSMEStorage App.
ISMEStorage also enables batch upload of photos and videos to any of the Clouds the App supports. These are only some of the features of iSMEStorage 2.06, the Cloud File Manager for iPad and iPhone.
CEO Ian Osborne stated, "Our iOS file manager just keeps getting better and better. We believe it is the most fully featured File Manager on the App Store, and no other File Manager supports the diversity and sheer number of File Storage Providers we do, in fact we are the only provider to support SkyDrive, Live Mesh 2011, the Azure Cloud, Google Storage and the use of Gmail as a Cloud." Osborne finished by concluding, "We are currently working on Sharepoint cloud support and hope to make this available soon."
