Le Meridien Phuket Associates Aid Child Watch Phuket’s Centre for Children
Le Meridien Phuket associates visits Child Watch Phuket's center for children of inmates and underprivileged families.
Phuket, Thailand, January 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Associates of Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort, an award-winning 470-room property located on a secluded beach on Phuket’s southwestern coast, recently visited Child Watch Phuket’s ‘Uncle Pitak Home’ to donate food supplies, books and toys, and spent a fulfilling day with the children under the centre’s care.
‘Uncle Pitak Home’ looks after children of inmates detained at the nearby Phuket Municipal Prison as well as underprivileged children from slum areas and construction sites. The centre is equipped with educational materials and a professional staff to help provide children with basic education.
Child Watch Phuket, on their website, mentions that “…the children often have medical conditions which need immediate care and many have the psychological scars of arrests, constant changes in environment and various traumas from the horrific experiences of their young lives.”
Interested parties wanting to provide assistance may contact Child Watch Phuket through Tel. no. +66 76 276 396 or email: info@childwatchphuket.org.
