Solar Electric Expands with New Location
Alternative Energy Pioneer opens Tecate office to meet increased demand on both sides of the United States and Mexico border.
San Diego, CA, January 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Business is expanding so quickly for Solar Electric that the alternative energy distributor and installer has opened a new Tecate, CA, location. The new location allows Solar Electric to expand reach and enhance customer commitment on both sides of the border.
Located at 443 Tecate Road in Tecate, CA, “this location will not only be more accessible for our customers in the Mountain Empire and Baja [California, Mexico], but it also supports our customers’ needs by allowing them to demo products and meet with experienced solar professionals to discuss their energy needs,” said Solar Electric’s President Damian Gutierrez. “It will continue to represent the quality of our products and the dedication and expertise of our team.”
Tecate Office “A Logical Choice”
Moving its headquarters from 5555 Santa Fe Street in San Diego, California, to Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 2008 made good business sense for the 24 year old company. The current office is strategically located to provide power to remote locations in the Pacific Northwest and Canada. However, it became clear as the global brand continued to increase, an additional San Diego location would further open more doors for the company and its customers.
“With growing customers in Southern California, Phoenix, Tuscon and Baja, expanding our presence with another one-stop solar shop was necessary,” Gutierrez said. “We started in 1987 in Harbor Island, selling solar electric systems for sail boats, RVs, cabins, homes in Baja, wells and pumps and other applications where electricity was needed. As the industry has grown and as solar has become more cost effective, we have been at leading edge, often being among the first to use new technologies and products. We installed one of Southern California’s first residential solar systems and probably San Diego’s first building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) system, both in 1997,” Gutierrez said.
Tecate is a logical choice for Solar Electric’s continued expansion. “We continue to design and install grid-tied and battery systems all over the United States, Canada, and Mexico,” Gutierrez said. “We are known for our battery expertise. And being in Tecate allows us to provide electricity where it is needed.”
Serving Professionals and Do-it-Yourselfers
Solar Electric provides complete solar electric and alternative energy products and services for electrical, HVAC and roofing contractors as well as do-it-yourselfers. Specializing in the sales and distribution of solar and alternative energy parts and components since 1987, Solar Electric also designs and installs grid-tied and battery-based systems for residential and commercial use, remote cabins, agriculture and mobile systems and provides hands-on training opportunities.
Located just steps from the US-Mexico border crossing in Tecate and next door to the United States Post Office, the shop is fully operational and features a showroom with a complete selection of parts for do-it-yourself projects including solar modules, batteries, inverters, controllers, racks and wire, pumps and wind generators. “We think our customers are going to be impressed with the newest showroom space,” Gutierrez said.
“We can walk you through how to setup smaller systems yourself, or for larger, more complex projects, we can design and install systems for just about anything or anywhere you might need to power,” said Gutierrez. “We have great financing options for residential and commercial systems, including zero down options and we are very experienced with rebates and incentives.”
“We don’t oversell and we work with all the top manufacturers so when we design a system, it is customized for your specific power needs and environment,” said Gutierrez. “Our experience and passion for solar sets us apart -- we spend time with you to make sure you are getting the best system for the best price and we continue to offer the lowest prices in the country,” Gutierrez said. “We are very excited to be in Tecate and look forward to becoming a part of the community.”
