Brookfield’s Rockrose Earns National Recognition
New homes at Rockrose at The Foothills in Carlsbad honored for design excellence.
San Diego, CA, January 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- New homes now being built at Rockrose at The Foothills by Brookfield Homes, and designed by Dahlin Group Architecture Planning, have been recognized as among the best in the nation for design excellence.
The Brookfield Homes San Diego community of single-family detached homes received two awards from the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) as part of its Best in American Living Awards (BALA). Presented Jan. 13 in Orlando during the International Builders Show, Rockrose Plan 3 won a Gold Award, and Rockrose Plan 2 won a Silver Award.
“NAHB is a highly respected organization and we’re thrilled that they’ve chosen to recognize two of our plans at Rockrose,” said Lora Heramb, vice president of sales and marketing for Brookfield Homes. “We’ve poured our hearts into making Rockrose a forward-thinking, special place to live.”
The Best in American Living Awards (BALA) program, 27 years strong, continues to progress, reflecting current and future market trends. According to the NAHB, each year BALA winners redefine the residential building industry through creativity, innovation and imagination.
Brookfield has done just that. With every home exceeding California’s energy standards by at least 35 percent, Rockrose offers the most energy-efficient new homes in San Diego County, and Brookfield Homes is the first and only builder in San Diego County with production homes at these increased efficiency levels.
In a March 2010 proclamation, Rockrose was recognized by former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger for “Set[ting] a new standard in creating sustainable communities.” Rockrose was also named a finalist in four categories at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) 2010 Gold Nugget Awards, as well as a finalist in the 2010 Building Industry of America (BIA) and Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) of Southern California’s joint awards program, the So Cal Awards.
The new community offers four new floor plans in Carlsbad, including one single-story residence. Homes range from approximately 2,116 to 3,167 square feet with three to four bedrooms and two to 4.5 bathrooms. For more information about Rockrose or its cost-saving, eco-savvy features, visit the sales office at 3538 Glen Ave. in Carlsbad or call 888-284-8861.
