About the Book (Excerpts & Info)
The students, teachers and staff at Harbor Lakes High School didn’t know they were creating a monster. But that’s just what they did as they hurled physical and emotional abuse at young Gary Royston. Years later, a series of bizarre murders coast to coast that bear startling similarities—rape, torture, mutilation and a numbered piece of paper slipped into victims’ duct-taped mouths—leads investigators to Royston, the scion of a wealthy oil family. Now, it’s up to Brad Dillman and Steve Warner, two sharp-as-nails forensics experts and old college buddies, to track down the perp before he can duct-tape his next victim. But armed with limitless funds and zero conscience, this merciless killer is anything but easy to catch. And he’ll stop at nothing to escape being brought to justice. A smart and savvy thriller, Unsolved is an edge-of-your-seat journey through the mind of a maniac that also packs an important message we ignore at our peril; that monstrous abuse can beget monsters.
Deftly constructed at 153 pages, UNSOLVED: Rape, Murder, Mutilation and Bullying is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Fiction / General category. With U.S. wholesale distribution through Ingram and Baker & Taylor, and pervasive online availability through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and elsewhere, UNSOLVED meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $14.95.
Additionally, UNSOLVED can be ordered by retailers or wholesalers for the maximum trade discount price set by the author in quantities of ten or more from the Outskirts Press Direct bookstore at www.outskirtspress.com/bookstore.
