First Family Moves Into Taylor Morrison’s Adora Trails in Arizona
Avren family the first home buyers in the latest – and biggest – community by nation’s No. 1 private homebuilder
Gilbert, AZ, January 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Valley’s newest sanctuary – and the largest community ever built by Taylor Morrison – recently welcomed its first family.
After 20 years away from Arizona, Wayne Avren, his wife Rochelle and their two children moved into their new Taylor Morrison home at Adora Trails in late December.
“We’d been living outside of Atlanta for the last few years but my wife really wanted to return to Arizona to be closer to our family,” Avren said. “Originally we planned to rent a home but quickly realized that it made more sense to purchase a home.”
Avren and his wife came to that decision after looking at foreclosures and short sales around the east Valley before discovering Adora Trails.
“The problem with a foreclosure is you need six to seven months to close the purchase and even then you’re not guaranteed the home,” Avren said. “I didn’t want to put my family through that.”
“Here, we were able to find a home that fit our lifestyle and, thanks to Taylor Morrison Funding, were able to close very quickly and ensure that we could return to Arizona.”
With a Chandler Unified School District elementary school on site, Avren’s children, Lauren and Kyle are able to walk to school each day.
“The school is literally 400 yards from our front door,” Avren said. “To have things like a school, a park and a lake in our community was important. Adora Trails really feels like a community, not just a subdivision.”
The close proximity to the San Tan Mountains was also a deciding factor for Avren, who said he enjoys living closer to the Arizona desert.
“I can see the San Tan Mountains from my back window,” he said. “I didn’t just want to live in a subdivision. That’s not the plan here. They have a vision to have a real community. I’m excited to see it grow. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
Adora Trails is comprised of almost 1,900 Gilbert home sites strategically placed within a community that boasts a dozen miles of walking trails, on-site Chandler Unified School District elementary school, a 4,000-square-foot clubhouse anchored with a 10-acre park and a two-acre fishing lake in the heart of the community.
With prices starting in the $140,000s, some of Taylor Morrison’s most popular home designs, ranging from 1,328 to 3,543 square feet, are featured in the community, which is located on Riggs Road between Val Vista and Higley roads, just minutes from three Valley freeways – Loop 101, Loop 202 and the U.S. 60.
“We’ve put a lot of research and planning into Adora Trails, specifically for families such as the Avrens,” said Pierrette Tierney, vice president of Taylor Morrison’s Arizona division. “We’re proud to welcome them as our first family.”
