Ottawa, Canada, January 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- WaterCan is pleased to announce that tickets are available for the much-anticipated annual Embassy Dinner: A Wellspring of Hope. This year’s dinner, to be held on Friday, May 6th, 2011 at the historic Aberdeen Pavilion, marks the 17th consecutive Embassy Dinner hosted in support of clean drinking water projects in the developing world.

This gala fundraiser, made possible through the generous support of Ottawa’s diplomatic community and nearly 100 volunteers, has raised over one million dollars in support of clean water projects throughout eastern Africa. “By eating our way around the world during this one-of-a-kind event, we’ve helped to improve thousands of lives by providing access to one of life’s most basic needs: clean water,” says Gary Pluim, WaterCan’s Executive Director.

The event will feature a “Buffet Of Nations.” Embassies and High Commissions representing over 30 countries will offer a delicious and varied assortment of culinary specialties from their respective homelands. As always, the Live and Silent Auctions will be filled with unique and exciting items for bidding and the spectacular “Parade of Nations” will finish off the evening with multicultural flair.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $150 each ($100 charitable tax receipt), and can be purchased by calling WaterCan at 613-230-5182 or by visiting the WaterCan website at www.watercan.com.
