Boy & Girls Club of Manchester, NH Names Barbara Lussier Director of the Year

Manchester, NH, January 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester, NH recently named Barbara Lussier, Vice President of Lending at Bellwether Community Credit Union as 2010 Director of the Year. Lussier was among three recipients honored for their service at the Annual Trustees Meeting. She has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors since September 2008.

“Barbara is a true asset to the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester,” explained Michael L’Ecuyer, President/CEO of Bellwether Community Credit Union. “I am proud of Barbara for being a leader beyond our walls and making a difference in the lives this organization serves.”

Executive Director, Gary Frost, stated “Barbara has been involved in many aspects of the organization and is always one who meets expectations. She takes her role as a Board member very seriously and sets a high standard for other Board members to aspire to. We feel very fortunate in having her as a member of our Board.”

Since 1988, nearly 40 individuals have received the Director of the Year Award. Recipients are selected for time spent on special events, involvement in board and committee meetings, and personal financial support. In addition, the award honors individuals who advocate for the organization in their daily lives.

Also recognized this year were Dan Cohen of UBS Financial Services and Carol Bednarowski, a retired elementary school teacher.
