Julie Riddell Elected Board Chair of New College Library Association (NCLA)

Sarasota, FL, January 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Julie Riddell of Riddell Financial has been elected Board Chair of the New College Library Association (NCLA). She has served on the NCLA Board of Directors for three years.

The New College Library Association, founded in 1964, provides financial support to the Jane Bancroft Cook Library at New College of Florida, ensuring that the library has the intellectual resources to serve the college. New College is the State of Florida's designated honors college for the liberal arts and is consistently ranked among the top public liberal arts colleges in America by U.S. News & World Report, Forbes and The Princeton Review.

Riddell is a 28-year resident of Sarasota and active supporter of the community. She has served as a board member in numerous community organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Junior League of Sarasota, Sarasota Opera, the Manatee Players and the Sarasota Orchestra Association, and has chaired fundraising events for Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC), Salvation Army, Heart Association and NCLA.

Riddell holds Series 6 securities and life, health and annuities licenses, and is the presenter for the local Smart Women, Smart Money series of “Lunch and Learn” seminars for women.
