Women on the Verge Founder Ana Lewis Receives Scholarship to BlissDom 2011 in Nashville, TN, January 26 - 28

Tucson, AZ, January 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Women on the Verge founder Ana Lewis was granted a LATISM scholarship to BlissDom 2011, an annual conference “for women who find and express their bliss by publishing online,” according to the BlissDom website. The event is scheduled for Nashville, TN, at Opryland Hotel January 26-28 and features professional speakers and panels in the blogging, public relations and social media realm. With “tribe leaders” to help each of the expected 500 participants find and filter the most pertinent information for her specialty, the overarching theme of BlissDom is of encouragement, community, and professional development.

CEO of award-winning web design firm Co-Op Web, Inc., and founder of the Women on the Verge community, Lewis refers to herself as a “Latina who loves laughing, books, writing, gardening, yoga and vegetarianism and is a CASA volunteer.” She said, “this will be my first time at BlissDom and I am very much looking forward to learning from the experts and applying my new knowledge to helping the future growth of the Women on the Verge community.”

Latinos in Social Media [LATISM] is a national non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Latinos to adopt and make full use of online social networks, applications, and events. The LATISM BlissDom Conference Scholarship this year awarded two Latina bloggers full scholarship to the event, based on the winners’ “leadership, particularly related to LATISM’s tenets of service, research and leadership.”

Women on the Verge (WOTV) is a fresh, growing, free online community of women, international in scope, encouraging and supporting women to speak and let their voices be heard. The similarities between BlissDom and WOTV are not lost on Lewis, particularly that each is a place for women to convene, learn and be heard.

The WOTV online community encourages its member (including a few men) to connect with each other to share and learn. WOTV aims to break down the stereotypes of women by being supportive and nurturing of its members and their endeavors.
