IEEE SmartGridComm 2011 Announces April 4, 2011 “Call for Papers” Deadline
2nd Annual Conference Dedicated to the Advance of Global Smart Grid Communications to be held October 17 – 20, 2011 in Brussels, Belgium
New York, NY, January 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The IEEE International Conference on Smart Grid Communications (SmartGridComm) has announced April 4, 2011 as the “Call for Papers” deadline for its 2nd annual event to be held October 17 – 20, 2011 in Brussels, Belgium. All interested researchers, industry professionals and government officials are urged to visit www.ieee-smartgridcomm.org/2011 for specific submission details as well as ongoing conference updates.
Held at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland last October, IEEE SmartGridComm 2010 included the presentation of more than 100 keynotes, panels, technical sessions and workshops dedicated to the development and upgrade of global smart grid communications ranging from remote metering and improved cyber-security to enhanced data retrieval and on-road vehicle recharging. Throughout the course of the three-day event, more than 450 global energy experts also discussed the international urgency to reduce energy consumption and advance emergency services, while exploring the latest pathways for supporting the two-way flow of data, advancing remote monitoring, integrating renewable energy sources into existing systems and empowering consumers with the information needed to make intelligent energy decisions.
As a result of last year’s success, IEEE SmartGridComm 2011 has been expanded to include a four-day program of events beginning on Monday, October 17 with a full day of workshops and tutorials. The agenda will then proceed Tuesday through Thursday with the presentation of three full days of keynotes, panels and technical papers highlighting the latest global efforts to facilitate the production, delivery and use of electricity worldwide.
