GreaterGood Gives Grants to 85 Charities in January
GreaterGood.org announced grants totaling approximately $456,000 were given to 85 charities in January. These grants were made possible by the Gifts That Give Moreā¢ and other programs at the GreaterGood Network as well as funds contributed directly to GreaterGood.org.
Seattle, WA, January 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- GreaterGood.org announced grants totaling approximately $456,000 were given to 85 charities in January. The recipients operate around the world to alleviate hunger and poverty, to provide health services to those suffering from cancer and to vulnerable children, to support education and literacy programs, to preserve rainforests and other vital wildlife habitats, and to fund protection and care for animals living in shelters and sanctuaries.
These grants were made possible by the Gifts That Give More™ and other programs at the GreaterGood Network as well as funds contributed directly to GreaterGood.org.
In addition, a disaster grant exceeding $65,000 was sent to the International Fund for Animal Welfare at the end of January to support wildlife rescue efforts in Australia following the Queensland floods.
