Author Colby Van Wagoner Releases Massacre Cave, and Mulberry Lane

Lehi, UT, January 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Author Colby Van Wagoner releases Massacre Cave, the first book in the Crow Mountain series. He was first introduced to the legend of the Skinwalker, around the campfire, as a young boy. As legend has it, the Skinwalker is a witch possessing supernatural ability, able to shape shift into any animal he or she desires. Massacre Cave is the site of a bloody murder between the Spanish and the Navajo in 1805. The Navajo men were away hunting, when the Spanish attacked the remaining Navajo in Canyon Del Muerto. Children, old men, and women spotted the raiding party and took refuge in what is now known as Massacre Cave, high up in the canyon wall and inaccessible from above. The Spaniards located them from the rim above and began a hail of bullets. Over 115 Navajo were killed. When the Navajo men return from the hunt, and discover the slaughter, the clan makes a pact, taking upon the witchery way, and seeks their revenge against the Spaniards. One of the members of the Skinwalker clan decides to leave with a female captive, and a chase across the prairie ensues. The two must accept the help of Cody Buckley and George Bartlebee, who are traveling west with their families. The group realizes they must face a supernatural enemy in order to survive.

Massacre Cave is the first book in the three books, Crow Mountain series. Massacre Cave is the prequel to the second book; Crow Mountain. The remaining book, Return to Crow Mountain, has yet to be released; however it will expand on the future of the Navajo Skinwalker legend, and where the legend has come to in the present day. The Crow Mountain trilogy will be a thrilling and suspenseful journey for age’s young adult and older.

Set for release on 2/11/2011, is Colby Van Wagoner’s next book, Mulberry Lane. Based on the true events of serial killer H.H. Holmes. From his early childhood, to a student at Michigan Medical University, he developed a taste for murder, and the macabre. Mistreated and tortured in his childhood, Holmes quickly transformed into a cunning and ruthless killer. Drawing on his rage, and disregard for humankind, Holmes move to Chicago. He soon opened a hotel during the World’s Fair to lure unsuspecting victims. After his capture, authorities discovered Holmes’, Murder Castle, where it is believed he slaughtered more than two hundred people. H.H. Holmes is one of the most notorious, and vicious serial killers of all time.
