Arrowhead Grill Hosts Napa Valley’s Cakebread Cellars for Exclusive Wine Dinner
Glendale, AZ, February 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Arrowhead Grill is proud to announce that Dennis Cakebread, part of the legendary vintner family behind Napa Valley’s Cakebread Cellars, will host an exclusive wine dinner at the Glendale restaurant on Feb. 7.
For more than three decades, the Cakebread family has operated the storied Cakebread Cellars, located in Rutherford, Calif. Cakebread Cellars is known for its exquisite wines, such as its Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay Napa Valley, Dancing Bear Ranch, Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley and Syrah. All five of these wines will be featured at the Arrowhead Grill dinner.
The evening will kick off with a reception with Cakebread at 6:30 p.m., followed by a special dinner prepared by Arrowhead Grill Chef and Owner Charles Wade Schwerd at 7 p.m.
Limited seating is available for the $80 per person wine dinner. Reservations are required, gratuity and taxes are not included and pre-payment of the dinner is requested.
“Dennis Cakebread only makes one appearance in the Valley each year and this year he’s chosen Arrowhead Grill,” Schwerd said. “We’re honored to host him and his incredible stable of wines and we know our patrons will want to take part in this special dinner.”
Schwerd’s menu for the night is nothing short of incredible as well. A miso-encrusted Chilean Sea Bass will accompany the Chardonnay; Osso Bucco style pork with crab risotto is paired with the Syrah; a Santa Fe bacon-wrapped shrimp with tequila lime jasmine rice will be served with the Sauvignon Blanc and steak sashimi, a black and blue tenderloin and ponzu sauce with wasabi mashed potatoes will be served with the Cabernet. Schwerd’s chocolate and hazelnut lava cake will accompany another Cabernet for dessert.
