Commander Rose had a distinguished naval career, with over 23 years of experience in the intelligence, national security and interagency arenas. He is a veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Afghanistan, and other global operations.

His major military positions included: Chief of DIA human intelligence operational units in the U.S. and the Middle East, and Deputy/Operations Officer for human intelligence in Europe and Africa; staff officer at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and Chief of Naval Operations; assistant intelligence officer for an aircraft carrier battle group; intelligence liaison to a key NATO ally; and branch chief with the Office of Naval Intelligence (division received CIA’s National Meritorious Unit Citation). He has extensive experience in physical, operational, personal, and information security.
