Controversial UC Davis Student Organization: “Sex, Lust, Un-Tamed.” Risqué? You Bet. Sex Lust UnTamed is Hosting Free Weeklong Sex Workshops at the UC Davis Campus.

Davis, CA, February 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, new sex-related student organization Sex, Lust, Untamed is making sure UC Davis students are prepared. S.L.U.T. is putting on “Sex, Lust, Untamed presents: Valentines 2011” a week long series of on-campus sex workshops, spanning February 7-11 from 8 to 9 pm every night. The highly informative workshops presented by certified sexologists will span a range of topics, including female ejaculation, erotic touch, multiple orgasms, the art of sexual pleasure, culminating on Friday with a presentation by sex-worker rights activist Veronica Monet on Passionate Fury.

This series of weeklong workshops will be hosted by multiple sexologists, each highly revered in their field. Author Veronica Monet of Sex Secrets of Escorts, who has appeared on CNN and FOX and was interviewed in the CNBC documentary “Dirty Money: The Business of High End Prostitution,” will be hosting Friday’s much-anticipated workshop on “Angry Sex, and Sexual Pleasure”. All workshops are free and open to the public. This event is already striking a nerve at UC Davis. Darren Pinder, a junior international relations major said, “Finally, an event that celebrates something that has been overlooked on the UC Davis campus.”

“I can’t wait for Valentine’s week,” said Melanie Larkin, co-founder of S.L.U.T. “We have put a lot into making sure that UCD students get the best workshops, and are also working hard to make S.L.U.T. something that both educates students on a topic relevant to their lives, and also raises money for charity and research.”

Sex Lust Un Tamed is a charity driven sex-related student interest organization, lead by a passionate and dedicated group of students. Through their events and fundraising, their goal is to reach out and create a fun environment where students can feel comfortable talking and learning about sex, while benefiting their community. Their goal as a club is to throw a series of events every academic quarter in which they will be charging a small amount to attend workshops. All proceeds raised by this club are donated to AIDS charities of San Francisco, and they are also planning to participate in AIDS awareness events in the future.

Due to its subject matter, it is not without controversy. Conservative students view that this club is promoting unsafe habits. A sophomore female physics major, asking to be quoted anonymously, spoke her mind. “This club tempts students into making decisions that they may regret in the future. I do not support this kind of behavior.”

Amongst all of the controversy, the attendance at these February events will show verdict of the approval of UC Davis students.
