Homestead Winery Sweeps Quarterly Honors from Grapevine Wine Tours
Homestead Winery secures both “Most Outstanding” honors from Grapevine Wine Tours guests for fourth quarter 2010.
Grapevine, TX, February 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- No longer content with one quarterly distinction, Homestead Winery swept both categories in the latest quarterly vote by guests of the Grapevine Wine Tours.
Homestead followed its distinction as Grapevine’s “Most Outstanding Winery” in 2010’s third quarter with the same honor during the fourth quarter (October through December). And this time, they added “Most Outstanding Wine” honors for their Homestead Syrah as well.
“Once again, all seven wineries received high marks from our guests, and it was a close race that wasn’t decided until the end of December,” said Ladd Biro, co-owner of Grapevine Wine Tours. “But in the end, John Hatcher and his Homestead Winery stood apart, thanks to the unique character of their wine-tasting experience and the excellence of their wines.”
“I’m humbled to receive such high praise, and proud to play a small part in the success of the Grapevine Wine Tours,” said Hatcher. “They’ve brought a lot of terrific people to our little winery, and we always enjoy sharing our wonderful wines with them.”
Grapevine Wine Tours launched to rave reviews in late July 2010. The tours have been popular with out-of-town visitors and locals alike. Each tour offers tastings at three of Texas’ most-acclaimed wineries and a delicious lunch or dinner served at one of the stops. Our festively wrapped tour bus transports guests from local area hotels to each of the fabulous tasting rooms in climate-controlled comfort.
Daily lunch and dinner excursions are affordably priced at $59.50 and $79.50, respectively. Group rates and deluxe packages designed for corporate outings, conference and convention groups, birthday and anniversary celebrations, Girls Nights Out and other special occasions are also available.
“After our first half-year of operations, it’s clear that we have a winning formula,” continued Biro. “Our bookings are growing on a monthly basis, and our guests absolutely love the tours. That’s due in part to the professionalism of our tour guides and, most of all, the extraordinary wineries we visit.”
In addition to Homestead, tours rotate daily between Cross Timbers Winery, Delaney Vineyards, D’Vine Wine, Farina’s Winery & Café, La Buena Vida Vineyards and Su Vino Winery. At the conclusion of each tour, guests are asked to complete a survey which includes their choices for Grapevine’s most outstanding winery and wine. Awards are announced quarterly and annually, exclusively by Grapevine Wine Tours.
