New Teen Mom Tell All Book – Illuminates About Pregnancy, Abortion, Single Parenting, College Dropout, Welfare and the Escape from It All

The pivotal message is that teen pregnancy is risky, costly, and avoidable. Likening keys to success to the movie “The Matrix”, War For Your Dreams describes responsibility, decision making, and consequences in a personal and relational way. It's a wonderful story of triumph in the midst of adversity.

Durham, NC, February 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- According to Dr. Nido Qubein, Highpoint University President, “This inspirational look at life uplifts the soul and reminds us of what is important in life.” Author Katrina Robinson describes having a baby as a teen with strong resignation. “My mom had to stand outside the operating room because of sterilization. I looked around the room and I was surrounded by strangers. Nobody in there knew me, and I knew none of them. My body was exposed; I was in pain, and an emotional wreck. I just couldn’t stop crying. During birth, I was sick to my stomach. I probably vomited at least 5 times that day. Fear overtook me and I didn’t have a soul to lean on. The nurse who came to comfort me and hold my hand was no consolation to me. She was a stranger too. All I could do was lie on that table and recall the promises my boyfriend made.” This book brings teen parenting and the day to challenges to life.

While War For Your Dreams addresses challenges, it also highlights successes along the way, the importance of mentorship, the danger of negative influence and starring poverty in the face. This book takes the reader on a journey through childhood abuse, teen pregnancy, independence and collegiate accomplishment. Each chapter is headed by “coined phrases” from this teen mom derived from her experiences. “A good leader is like a tootsie pop…hard on the outside, soft on the inside.”

One chapter in particular relates the crux of life success to the adventures of Neo in the Matrix movie. He made a choice to take a particular path and ended up discovering who he really was inside. He also had a mentor, good influences and challenges. The tenacity he shows in continuous learning and never giving up is conveyed by the author. After reading, one is convinced that they are able to overcome tremendous opposition.
