Love is in the Air at Pala February 12 with Bella Donna
Bella Donna, A Tribute to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac set to perform Valentines Day Weekend show in the Grand Cabaret.
San Deigo, CA, February 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- February is here and love is in the air. Pala Resort Casino will be helping to get hearts beating a little quicker by bringing Bella Donna, A tribute to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac to the Grand Cabaret, Saturday, February 12th to kick off Valentine’s Day weekend. The lover’s holiday, February 14th falls on a Monday this year.
The seven- piece tribute show features a six piece backup band of musicians and singers and features Michelle Tyler in the role of the legendary Stevie Nicks. The band performs hits from Nicks' solo career and her work within Fleetwood Mac.
“Stevie has an incredible catalog of music. Some of her greatest songs deal with and also about loss. We are going to concentrate on the songs that deal with the hopefulness and buoyancy of love,” Tyler said.
Recently the band performed to full houses at the venerable rock house, The Canyon in Agoura Hills and in Las Vegas at the Cannery Casino’s headline venue, The Club.
The band is making the February 12 stop at the Pala Casino Resort near Temecula before heading to the Midwest to perform a special show at the Historic Woodstock Opera House in Woodstock Illinois.
The town stood in for Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and was prominently featured in the classic Bill Murray comedy ‘Ground Hog Day’. The story line of the film deals with an egotistical and manipulative weatherman (Murray) who gets caught up in reliving the same day over and over. Eventually he changes his ways, finds true love and breaks the spell.
Singer, Michelle Tyler said with a chuckle, "We are going to be staying in the same B&B where every morning Bill’s character wakes up to 'I’ve Got You Babe' blasting on the radio. It’s just going to be so much fun."
The band has enjoyed some magic of its own when Michelle was invited to meet Stevie Nicks backstage after Nicks heard a Bella Donna performance in 2005. The Gold Dust Woman apparently was impressed and flattered by Tyler’s impersonation of her show.
For the Pala performance, Bella Donna will hit the stage at 8pm in the Grand Cabaret with their full concert show. Fans will want to arrive early to get in on the ‘Love Fest’.
“I believe in magic and I have always believed in the power of love,” Michelle Tyler smiles. “With Bella Donna, we try and capture a little of each.”
