220 Communications, Dessert Concepts Team Up for Everything Chocolate
Chef Omar Martinez of Dessert Concepts and Glenn Murray of 220 Communications form Joint Venture to bring culinary and marketing skills to the aid of non profit organizations.
Chicago, IL, February 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Chef Omar Martinez of Dessert Concepts and Glenn Murray of 220 Communications have partnered to assist non-profits through special fundraising events showcasing Martinez’s unique culinary creations. “Everything Chocolate” will launch February 11 at 7 p.m. at the Silversmith Hotel, 10 South Wabash Ave., with an event to assist the Big Love, Little Hearts charity.
Chef Martinez is a pastry chef who appeared on the television show Food Network Challenge competing against chefs from around the country in a dessert creation competition. He honed his culinary skills at the famed Johnson & Wales University and after graduating interned at some of the finest bakeries and country clubs in the Chicagoland area.
Dessert Concepts specializes in pastries that resemble works of art for events and special occasions. 220 Communications is a marketing and media company that also does fundraising, publishing and promotions, and has created over 10 fundraising events to build awareness for non-profits in Chicago and nationally. Together, the two will provide culinary delights and marketing services for non-profits nationally.
The launch event, “Everything Chocolate,” will feature six different food stations with cakes, pastries, candies and much more. The event will also feature a prize drawing for a trip for two to Last Vegas, local DJs and a special blindfolded couples tasting by 220 Publishing debut author Yolanda “Yanni” Brown (Making Love Better Begins Within).
The designated charity Big Love, Little Hearts supports children born in third world countries with congenital heart defects (CHD), a condition that affects 1 in 100 children worldwide. It is the first and only organization that matches children with CHD who need life saving surgery but do not have access to proper care with organizations, surgeons and healthcare professionals who donate their time, talent and resources to perform these repairs for free.
