Which Wich Superior Sandwiches Opens in Houston, Texas, with a New Menu, Including Breakfast
Houston, TX, February 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, an award-winning, national sandwich concept, is set to open in Houston’s Pennzoil Place tunnel, at 711 Louisiana St., R213, on February 4, 2011. The restaurant is open Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am-2:30 pm, for dine-in, takeout, or catering.
Which Wich offers more than 50 varieties of customizable “wiches,” from the signature Wicked®, loaded with five meats and three cheeses, to vegetarian options such as tomato & avocado and several healthy wiches for less than 400 calories each. All wiches are now available in three sizes: 7 inches, 10.5 inches, and a 14-inch Superwich™.
The Pennzoil Place location is the first Which Wich in Texas to serve breakfast, and guests can choose from a selection of three Breakfastwiches. For those on a tight schedule, the restaurant has incorporated a grab-and-go concept, with Seattle’s Best coffee, pre-made breakfast parfaits, and pre-made lunch sandwiches. In addition, the Pennzoil Place Which Wich is one of only a few stores in the chain to offer a bowl option. Any wich can be ordered without bread, served in a bowl on a bed of lettuce and topped with whatever fresh ingredients the guest desires.
Which Wich is also known for its creative ordering system. Guests use red Sharpies® to mark up pre-printed menus on sandwich bags. They select a sandwich from one of 10 categories, then choose the size, type of bread (or bowl), size, cheese, spreads, and vegetables. The sandwiches are prepared to guests’ exact specifications and delivered in personalized sandwich bags. After they’ve enjoyed their wiches, guests are encouraged to draw on their bags using red Sharpies and hang the “artwork” on the community wall.
“This is the first Which Wich in the downtown tunnels, and it’s really something special,” says Edward Treistman, who owns the Pennzoil Place Which Wich with his brother, Carlos. The brothers are committed to expanding the Which Wich brand throughout the tunnel system. “My team and I want to welcome the downtown community for breakfast and lunch five days a week.”
In addition to customized wiches, customers can enjoy hand-dipped shakes made with real ice cream, signature house chips, and just-out-of-the-oven cookies in an edgy, magnetic environment. Which Wich locations feature newspaper reading stations, free wi-fi, and a community wall showcasing the sandwich bag artwork.
