Wisdom Preparation Initial Group Seminar Announced for March 2007

Aptos, CA, February 10, 2007 --(PR.com)-- We are currently experiencing the historic generation of women who have spent a majority of their adult years working. These women will be approaching retirement differently than previous generations.

Casey Dawes, founder and President of Wise Woman Shining, is facilitating a series of seminars and teleconferences to help women do more than survive this transition. The series, entitled Wisdom Preparation, will allow women to reposition their lives in order to realize their dreams. The curriculum includes taking care of unfinished business and giving back to the world.

"For those of us who have raised our children and established our careers,” said Dawes, “there is no roadmap for the next few decades.”

Many questions are arising for these women. Will they have enough money? Will they keep their health? Will they lose their identity when both their career and their children are gone? What will give purpose to their lives?

“We feel a sense of unease, a sense of wanting to do something important,” continues Dawes. “The traditional thoughts of retirement --- travel, grandchildren and leisure activities --- are appealing but we want something more.”

According to a recent informal survey conducted by Wise Woman Shining, women between the ages of 45 and 60 are primarily concerned about their health (84%) and finance (59%). The Wisdom Preparation sessions will help women address these concerns by dealing with underlying beliefs, and includes coaching for addressing these matters on a practical level.

The survey also shows that a majority of these women are hopeful about the future and nearly half are looking forward to "giving back." The Wisdom Preparation series will give these women the tools to create the foundation to accomplish their visions of volunteering, travel, writing a memoir, creating a more spiritual life and more.

The first seminar begins with a three-day retreat at Venture Valley, in Corralitos, CA, on the weekend of March 23-25, 2007. The retreat will be followed up by three months of group and individual coaching. Three more retreat/coaching combinations are planned through March 2008.

Casey Dawes is an accredited coach and President of the Silicon Valley Coach Federation and will facilitate the seminar. Guest instructors will also provide their own wisdom to attendees.
