Insights into Cancer Lecture Series Scheduled
21st Century Oncology presents Insights into Cancer seminar series.
Fort Myers, FL, February 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Two of the most frequently diagnosed cancers are the topics of an upcoming lecture series hosted by 21st Century Oncology.
The lecture series, called Insights into Cancer, is for anyone interested in learning more about the treatments for prostate cancer and breast cancer, two of the most commonly diagnosed cancers. According to the American Cancer Society, one in six men will have prostate cancer in their lifetime, and one eight woman will have breast cancer. Each talk will cover the newest developments in treatment and include an informative “Ask the Doctors” question and answer session which will follow each lecture. The lecture series is free and open to the public.

In two lectures about prostate cancer, Constantine Mantz, MD, a radiation oncology therapist, and Omar Benitez, MD, FACS, a urologic surgeon, will co-present information about new treatment options for prostate cancer including robot-assisted surgery, RapidArc and TrueBeam technologies, and Calypso GPS for the Body, all new innovations that are transforming the treatment of prostate cancer.
In a lecture about breast health, Dr. Rie Aihara will discuss breast health issues ranging from benign breast conditions to malignant tumors, including up-to-date breast cancer prevention, advanced diagnostic technologies and treatment programs as well as a wide range of support services.
