Lionsgate Wants You to Catch Virus X from Empire Films

Los Angeles, CA, February 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On February 1, 2011, Lionsgate made everyone in the US and Canada susceptible to Virus X, Empire Film’s new Sci Fi thriller. Virus X is the twisted brainchild of writer Jeremiah Campbell and writer/ director Ryan Stevens Harris.

Set in a bunker, Virus X is the tale of a group of scientists, who, unbeknownst to them, are creating a super virus. This virus is being created so that the head of an unnamed pharmaceutical company, Denita Herrington (played with pure evil, by the still beautiful Sybil Danning) can sell the vaccine to a panicked world and reap huge profits.

Virus X also stars Joe Zaso, Dylan Vox, Jai Day, Sasha Formoso, Kyra Groves, Bo Burroughs and recent best actor winner, Domiziano Arcangeli (who also produced). Arcangeli will be seen later this year in Daughter of Fear and Terror Bites. Empire Films produced Virus X. Empire’s next film is Box of Shadows, a co-production with Photocomics. The two companies have begun collaboration on another supernatural thriller, E Ghost, which is set to begin production later this year. Virus X is available from Netflix, Blockbuster, Amazon and wherever DVDs are sold or rented.

The Virus X DVD comes with interviews with Domiziano Arcangeli, Ryan Stevens Harris, Sybil Danning and Dylan Vox by Dawna Lee Heising of “Eye on Entertainment”.

Empire Films began producing films in 2009. Their films have been released both domestically and internationally theatrically, on DVD and on video on demand. These films have been well received by critics, and won major awards.
