JoTo Extreme PR Media Partner for Clearwater’s Fashion and Arts Week
JoTo Extreme PR announced it was the PR firm representing the recently-held Clearwater’s Fashion and Arts Week, featured on the cover of Creative Loafing last week.
Clearwater, FL, February 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Fashion and Arts Week is put on by the Clearwater Designer Co-Op with the goal to stimulate the economy of Downtown Clearwater with an injection of fashion, art and culture, and to encourage more retailers to open stores downtown, as well as attract future residents.
In 2009, a group of volunteers, including celebrity and Clearwater resident Craig Taylor, banded together to stimulate the economy of Downtown Clearwater in a grass roots movement. A year-and-a-half later, the event was repeated with fashionistas from Miami, Tampa and Orlando trekking out to take advantage of the deeply-discounted prices Craig Taylor blouses, 10,000 Villages fair trade and handcrafted items from around the world, as well as the Blue Dahlia and Warehaus Trunk shows.
In the expansion of this year’s event, other forms of art were included with a schedule that would attract many fashion and art lovers:
• Wednesday, February 2nd – a VIP party was held by Water’s Edge, the best-selling condominium in Pinellas County according to Multiple Listing Service, and also a JoTo client.
• Thursday, February 3rd – was Opening night at System Productions, headed by internationally recognized fashion photographer Troy Plota, who created a multi-media, multi-sensory fashion experience.
• Friday, February 4th – was the Film Screening from the Sunscreen Film Festival at the Capitol Theatre.
• Saturday, February 5th - was the Guilfoil Ballet Theatre performance at the Capitol Theatre, put on by Master Andrew Guilfoil.
• Sunday, February 6th – was the open-air art show in Station Square Park featuring local artists as well as renowned artists such as Jim Warren and Robert Schoeller.
Many of the attendees also patronized the new local restaurants in Clearwater such as the Green Organic restaurant which was packed after the evening’s ballet.
Participating in events such as Clearwater’s Fashion and Arts Week allows JoTo Extreme PR to give back to the community it says. “Downtown Clearwater is a gem with many well-known artists in our backyard,” says JoTo Extreme PR CEO and Chief Strategist Karla Jo Helms. “We feel it’s our responsibility to help the community in which we work - events such as Fashion and Arts Week help us do just that.”
JoTo contributed to over 65 media placements, articles and releases for Clearwater’s Fashion and Arts Week both online and offline.
Other community events and groups JoTo Extreme PR has contributed to include: Clearwater Super Boat, 4th Friday Clearwater, Miracle on Cleveland Street, Clearwater for Youth, Relay for Life and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast. While JoTo’s client roster spans businesses and corporations Coast to Coast in the US, JoTo says that helping Tampa Bay is a leading factor in their success.
