New Personal Car Shopper Service for Expats Launched by Lion Leasing
Houston, TX, February 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- To help foreigners moving to the U.S. with hassle free V.I.P. access to a new vehicles, Lion Leasing has launched a Personal Car Shopper Service that offers to locate, negotiate the price and check the condition of any new or used vehicles nationwide. The vehicles can then be financed and insured without the need for a U.S. credit score and in some cases a U.S. drivers license.
“When moving to a new country there are many things that require your attention and time. And buying a car in the U.S. is not always easy. We wanted to help minimize the time spent on searching, negotiating, checking, financing and insuring the newcomer’s new vehicle. We want to be the newcomer's Personal Car Shopper,” says General Manager Jesper Lovendahl, who himself is an expat in the U.S.
The Personal Car Shopper service is free for customers choosing to finance their vehicle with Lion Leasing. To start the process of finding a vehicle, the customer needs to fill out an application with information on the car or cars that they may be interested in. Lion Leasing will then suggest relevant options in the market until the right car is presented and accepted by the customer. Lion Leasing will also work with customers who just have a budget and an idea of what size vehicle they want.
"There are no limits to what makes and models the customer can request us to find for them. We will search for new and used vehicles nationwide. For customers we have found anything from Toyota, Mazda and Honda to Mercedes, Porsche and Aston Martin," says Jesper Lovendahl, and continues "basically any road legal vehicle in the U.S. we can find and offer financing for."
To get the best possible price for their customers, Lion Leasing has partnered with the company Enterprise that has a fleet of over one million cars. "This gives our customers access to a very strong purchasing power, which enable us offer prices on new and used vehicles that the customers in most cases would not be able to obtain on their own," says Jesper Lovendahl.
With the newly launched Person Car Shopper service combined with Lion Leasing's financing programs for expats, the company is expecting large growth over the months and years to come. Lion Leasing is the only company in the U.S. that can offer expat car financing for all types of vehicles in the U.S. This is a crucial service, as financing is very difficult for newcomers to obtain due to their lack of a U.S. credit history. Especially after the credit crunch it has become almost impossible for newcomers to get any type of credit.
As an expat in the U.S. you start with a fresh credit score, meaning that you start with a credit score of “300”. In the United states, credit score range from 300-850, with 723 being the median credit score of Americans. In general a credit score above 750 will almost guarantee an approval. Anything between 700 and 749 will likely result in an approval but the best "deal" isn't guaranteed. Anything between 650 and 699 could get you approved but it's doubtful you'll get the best deal and a declination isn't out of the question. Anything below 650, which is the current dividing line between prime and subprime (as of 2011), will likely get you declined. (Source Wikipedia)
At Lion Leasing (www.lionleasing.com) they do not work with credit scores as it is useless in determining an expats credit worthiness, instead they work with parameters like salary package, visa length, employment length and other assets. The pricing for Lion Leasing customers reflects the same level that an American with a good credit score could expect to be offered. After the customer starts paying off on their lease or finance, Lion Leasing will submit credit information to the credit authorities helping the customer build their credit score, thereby strengthening their U.S. credit history. For many foreigners it pays in the long run to obtain credit in the U.S. as soon as they arrive, because building a strong credit score will have a positive impact on their financial life in America.
A Lion Leasing customer's salary package ranges from $60,000 to $850,000. Even if you can prove to a regular U.S. financial institution that you make $850,000 a year, you cannot expect to be approved for credit.
At Lion Leasing they service customers from all over the world; England, Germany, Spain, France, Japan, Ireland, India, Brazil, Australia, Scandinavia, Canada, China, South Africa and many more countries. A true international autosource for vehicles in the U.S.
