Rt. Hon Francis Maude MP Will be Speaking at Capita's Public Service Mutuals Seminar
Capita’s Public Service Mutuals Seminar provides practical support to public sector bodies looking to set-up and transfer to mutuals and social enterprise service delivery
London, United Kingdom, February 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- With the Public Service Reform White Paper due out this year, the Government will announce new ‘Rights to Provide’ across public services. This will place an impetus on employers to act on viable proposals from frontline staff who want to take over and run services as mutual organisations.
Capita’s Public Service Mutuals Seminar, in London on the 20th June 2011, provides practical support to public sector bodies looking to set-up and transfer to mutuals and social enterprise service delivery.
High-level representatives from several of the 12 ‘pathfinder mutuals’ will provide a best practice route map of the journey and identify the key steps and challenges they faced during the process of transition.
This interactive seminar has been specifically designed to provide delegates with the practical skills and strategic knowledge needed to develop new ways of working that enhances customer and staff satisfaction, productivity, cost effectiveness and creativity.
With contributions from the Cabinet Office, pathfinder mentors and local government and health case studies, expert speakers will address the key challenges faced, including:
- Involving employees at each stage of the transition process
- Strategies for raising capital in the short and longer-term
- Legal essentials – TUPE, VAT, pensions and transfer of assets
Now is the time to take control of shaping service delivery and unleash ideas and innovations that have been stifled by bureaucracy. Attend to ensure your organisation learns how to demonstrate excellent leadership, clear vision and flexibility and grasp these new opportunities for employee-led services.
