R&B Soul Music Celebration for Black History Month

Folukie's restaurant and night club is sponsoring a black history month music event featuring Niva the Soul Diva.

Brooklyn, NY, February 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On Thursday February 17th at 8pm, "Folukie" restaurant and night club will be holding a celebration of R&B Soul music for Black History Month. Folukie is located in Brooklyn New York at 1168 Bedford Ave between Putnam Ave and Madison ave, an area of New York which has been described by visitors as very “artsy”, “eclectic”, and “bohemian” because of the large numbers of musicians, artists and poets who thrive there.

The celebration will feature live R&B music by various artist and the Folukie dj. Featured artist for the evening will be he critically acclaimed “Niva the Soul Diva” and her band “The Panache Allstarz”. Niva and company will be performing classic Soul and R&B hits as well as music from Niva’s chart topping CD “Rollercoaster Love”. Folukie is noted for it’s award winning Caribbean Soul Food, A mix of African American soul food and Caribbean dishes. Folukie is noted to be very “inexpensive and extremely reasonable” by food critics and customers. Admission to the event is free until 9pm, a $10 cover charge after that. The Folukie management stated that they wanted to create a space where musicians, artists and poets can come and perform and have the community support them while enjoying a gourmet atmosphere at very little cost.
