Extron Celebrates the Addition of New Manufacturing Jobs in Milpitas, CA

‘Last Mile’ Supply Chain solutions provider celebrates its grand opening.

Milpitas, CA, February 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Extron, a global supply chain management company specializing in ‘Last Mile’ Supply Chain solutions, today announces that the company will be celebrating its official Grand Opening Gala Event on Thursday, February 17, 2011. Milpitas Mayor Jose Esteves will be on hand to perform a ceremonial ribbon cutting to commemorate Extron’s new Headquarters along with a host of local leaders and invited guests.

“Extron’s goal is to become a national model for how US-based businesses can and must re-tool to enrich our entire economic foundation for future growth,” said Sandeep Duggal, Extron’s CEO. “We are providing a viable and sustainable alternative for Technology businesses charged with saving time and money to become more efficient. By bringing the final configuration phase back to US soil, manufacturing response times can be reduced from months to days…even hours.”

“I would also like to stress how important it is to have Governmental support,” continued Mr. Duggal. “The City of Milpitas worked closely with Extron and as a result we moved expeditiously from permit application to move-in within 3 ½ months.”

Extron’s new 120,000 square-foot facility will house its administrative headquarters and manufacturing operations. The company will manufacture and distribute technology products leveraging its ‘Last Mile’ Supply Chain solutions methodology.

"Thanks to companies such as Extron, we are excited and optimistic about the future manufacturing and operations opportunities that will be introduced to the city of Milpitas as well as across the entire bay area," Milpitas Mayor Jose Esteves said in reference to the February 17th grand opening gala ceremony. “We anticipate that other forward thinking businesses will follow Extron’s lead and endeavor to do the same.”
