Dick Hannah Dealerships Helps Raise $515,000 and Counting for the Children's Cancer Association
Vancouver, WA, February 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dick Hannah Dealerships partnered with the Children’s Cancer Association and radio station 105.1, The Buzz (www.1051thebuzz.com) for their annual Valentine’s Day for CCA radiothon to help raise money for children with cancer. The annual event brings awareness and support to the Children’s Cancer Association (www.joyrx.org), a Portland-based nonprofit focused on bringing joy to children, teens and their families through its innovative programs and services.
A dozen Dick Hannah Dealerships employees volunteered their time to staff the phone bank and were present when the winner of the largest raffle item, a new car provided by Dick Hannah Dealerships, was drawn. The winner, Bernadette Ainsworth, was offered the choice between a brand new Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, Kia Soul, Volkswagen Jetta, Jeep Patriot, Hyundai Accent or Subaru Impreza. She chose the Subaru Impreza. There were 2500 raffle tickets available for purchase at $25 each and all were sold generating $62,500. “We were so pleased when Dick Hannah Dealerships offered to donate another new car this year. Our heartfelt thanks go out to them for their generosity,” said Leslie Pfau, Marketing Manager for The Buzz.
