Atlanta, GA, February 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Atlanta publisher, Pritchett & Hull, has taken one of healthcare publishing’s most prestigious awards, winning “Book of the Year” from the American Journal of Nursing (AJN).
“AJN’s Book of the Year awards high quality publications,” said Cecily Shull, CEO of Pritchett & Hull Associates. “We are thrilled to have partnered with Fran London on No Time to Teach and to have met the standards of this coveted award.”
No Time to Teach: The Essence of Patient and Family Education for Healthcare Providers, by author, Fran London, RN, MS, teaches healthcare professionals how to assess and educate patients using concrete terms and real-world examples.
The book was praised by judges for demonstrating how to “capitalize on the time spent with patients and their families,” explaining “how to teach using an interpreter” and for the pocket-guide format which “packs a big punch in a small package.”
The AJN has been announcing its annual list of the best in nursing publishing since 1969. The annual list of most valuable texts is selected by the AJN’s panel of judges. The award announcements garner the attention of the AJN’s 105,000 print subscribers and over 500,000 others who read the journal online.
